Laboratory buildings are among the most complex real estate assets today. They combine sensitive data, valuable research infrastructure and safety-critical operations while facing increasing regulatory, technical and digital requirements. Ensuring safety in laboratory environments therefore requires an integrated approach that connects architecture, building operations and digital resilience.

On 20 April 2026, HELIX alpha will participate in the event “Sicherheit im Laborbetrieb und -bau”, jointly organised from Drees & Sommer with the Potsdam Science Park. The event brings together experts from project development, laboratory operations, building security and cyber security to discuss how modern laboratory environments can be designed and operated in a resilient and future-proof way.

Martin Eberhardt, CEO of HELIX alpha, will contribute the investor, developer and Life Science Real Estate perspective, highlighting how safety, operational resilience and infrastructure requirements increasingly shape the development and management of laboratory buildings.

The programme includes expert presentations, an interactive Q&A session and networking opportunities with professionals from the life science and real estate ecosystem.

Date: Monday, 20 April 2026 Time: 09:00 – 12:0 Location: Wissenschaftsetage im Bildungsforum Potsdam, Am Kanal 47, Potsdam
